This Week! Let’s help more women like Perive!

Our next iZōsh event is this week, and we hope you are planning to be there, and have invited your friends and neighbors. We are excited to gather again for many reasons, and one of the main ones is our loan recipients.

There is a great amount of diversity among the loan recipients. They come from many countries on many continents. This is the story of Perive of Samoa. We funded her October 2014.

Perive primarily utilized her loan to buy new tires and spare parts to fix her taxi. She used the remainder of her loan to purchase fertilizer and a plant sprayer to help her farm the plot of land behind her home. Perive’s family was affected by the great tsunami of 2009. Her children are able to now attend school.

These funds serve more than just that of one woman, but whole families, and communities.

This week, we will gather to grant more loans to women like Perive, at our next iZōsh event, March 20th at 7 pm at Huron Hills Church.

EMMY award winning filmmaker Sophia Kruz will share with us about “The Role of Art in Global Women’s Empowerment”. This arts-focused theme will be a meaningful one and we hope you are there to join us.
Sophia KruzAlso, 2015 marks the beginning of our new biannual event schedule. This means that you will have 2 opportunities instead of 3 to generously give to empower women in extreme poverty around the world.

When you became a member of iZōsh you completed a commitment card that reflected your self-determined dues amount per meeting. If you would like to update your commitment card in light of our recent schedule change or have any questions regarding your dues please contact our treasurers, Carol Grafton and Dawn Perry, at

See you soon!
