At iZōsh® Events we learn about the benefits that a small sustainable business can provide to a woman and her children. In this article from girlsnotbrides.org, we learn about Laura from Guatemala, a child bride because her mother could not afford to even buy a notebook for her, much less pay for her education, because Laura’s Mom never had the opportunity to start a business. However Laura, now as a mother of five boys and one girl, is making sure that with her family’s business there will be the opportunity for her daughter to study. As a Community Advocate she is also part of an amazing effort by Women’s Justice Initiative to change the mind-set of young girls toward wanting to get an education rather than be tempted by child marriage.
