Another Successful iZosh Event!
iZosh Maine has finished its fourth Event – sending 2019 out in style.
Thank you so much to those who were able to come to the October 7 Event as well as those who could not come but sent in their dues. A very special thank you to Abusana Micky Bondo for inspiring us with her life story and teaching us about the lives of women farmers in Congo.
Together we raised $4,310 dollars and funded micro-loans to 18 deserving women whose lives will be forever changed by this hand up. You may remember that at the Event we mistakenly reported that 22 women had been funded, a counting mix-up that happened when some unfunded loan sheets were counted as funded. Occasionally we set out to fund a loan only to discover that the woman has already been completely funded earlier in the day!
Nothing changed about the money – we still collected and loaned out $4,310, all in real time. Our total donations since the start of iZosh Maine in 2018 now stand at $17,127, funding a total of 77 women!
Celebrate this accomplishment for sure, with or without cowbells!
When you get your new 2020 calendar, be sure to mark April 6 as the next iZosh Event. Linda Brewster will be our speaker, talking about women in remote mountain villages in Guatemala, sharing their challenges and their triumphs. Plan now to bring a friend or two and introduce them to iZosh.
